My Bestie Welcome Spring Card

Hello Besties! Today I want to share with you my April Design Team Project for the My Besties Color it, Create it, Show it Off Challenge Blog. For my project I created this Adorable My Bestie Welcome Spring Card.

For my card I used the Darling My Bestie Digi Stamp from Sherri Baldy called Image 00012 that you can find here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/209681211/instant-download-digital-digi-stamps-big

To create my card first I cut the card base mat using my Big Shot and the Fancy Frames Dies from Craftin Desert Diva's. I then cut out the flowers using the Daisy Flower Dies from Spellbinders. Next I printed the My Bestie Digi stamp onto plain white 110 lb. card stock and then colored the image in with Copics. I then went over my coloring with Prismacolor Premier Pencils to add some extra depth and highlights. To finish I fussy cut out my coloring and then attached all of the elements to my card base. After that I added pearls, ribbon, and rhinestones for some extra embellishment. I hope that my card inspired you, and that you join us in our challenge with your own projects for your chance to win some Amazing Bestie prizes. DT Mindy

My Bestie Butterflies and Mermaid Cards

Hello Besties! Today I want to share with you my Design Team reminder projects for our challenge going on over at My Besties Color It, Create It, and Show It Off Challenge Blog. For my first project I created a Butterflies and Birdcage Card.

To create my card I used one of Sherri Baldy's My Bestie Digital Stamps called Image 958 that you can find here:  http://www.mybestiesshop.com/store/p3070/Sherri_Baldy_img958_Bloomin_Besties_TM_digi_stamp_.html

To make my card first I made the card base from basic shapes in Design Space. I then uploaded the digital stamp and sized the image to fit my card base perfectly. Next I cut the card mat from the largest of the Fancy Frames Dies from Craftin Desert Diva's.

Next I colored the digital stamp in with Copics and then layered Prismacolor Premier Pencils on top for the highlights. Once I was done I fussy cut out the digital stamp and attached all of the layers to my card base. I then cut the butterflies and birdcage from some patterned card stock that I had and added them to my card for some extra embellishment. To finish I added rhinestones, flowers, pearls, and a ribbon.

For my second project I created a Mermaid My Bestie Card.

For this card I used one of Sherri Baldy's 3D Printable Sheets called Oct 22 Colored Printable that you can find here:  http://www.mybestiesshop.com/store/p2718/Oct_22_colored_printable_download_My_Besties.html

To create my card first I made the card base from basic shapes in Design Space. I then used a Spellbinders Die to cut out one of the 4 mermaid images on the printable sheet. I then fussy cut pieces from the other 3 images to create a multiple layered 3D image. I used foam tape between each layer on the mermaid to add more dimension. To finish I attached everything to my card base and added flowers and a ribbon.

I hope that you were inspired by my Design Team projects, and join us for our current challenge over at My Besties Color It, Create It, Show It Off Challenge Blog that you can find here:  http://coloritcreateitshowitoff.blogspot.com/2016/03/my-besties-colour-it-create-it-show-it.html

CDD March Stamp Release Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the CDD March Stamp Release Blog Hop.
All stamps are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

Here's what I've created for you...

For my first card I used the following CDD goodies:
The new Magical Wishes Stamp Set:  http://craftindesertdivas.com/magical-wishes/
Under the Sea Stamp Set:
http://craftindesertdivas.com/under-the-sea/
Fancy Frames Dies:

Outdoor Landscape Dies:
http://craftindesertdivas.com/outdoor-landscape-dies/
and Seaside Sequins:
http://craftindesertdivas.com/seaside-sequins/

To create my mermaid card first I cut my background mat from Arches 140lb. watercolor paper with the largest of the Fancy Frames Dies. I then used my copics to color in the base water tones. Next I used rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab to place drops of alcohol on top of the copic colored background to create the look of bubbles. I continued to add drops to the background until I was happy with the amount of bubbles and layers. I then used the smallest bubble stamp from the Under the Sea stamps to stamp even more bubbles and add extra dimension to my background.

Next I cut out the ocean sand from patterned paper with the Outdoor Landscape Dies. I then stamped the Mermaid and Oyster from the Magical Wishes Set onto 110 lb. plain white card stock along with the fish, coral, and seaweed from the Under the Sea Stamps. I then colored in all of the images with my Copics and then used Prismacolor Premier Pencils for the highlights. Once I was done I fussy cut all of the images out, and attached everything to my card base. To finish I added shells from the Seaside Sequins for some extra sparkle and embellishment!

Here is the second card that I created for you showcasing another one of the images from the Magical Wishes Stamp Set that I designed exclusively for CDD:

Here are the CDD Goodies I used to create my Fairy Card:

The Fancy Frames Dies:

Pixie Dust Sequins:

To create my Fairy Card first I cut the background mat out of 110 lb. plain white card stock with the largest of the Fancy Frames Dies. I then colored my background scene with my Copics. Next I stamped the Fairy and Mushrooms from the Magical Wishes stamp set onto plain white card stock. I then colored the images in with my Copics and Prismacolor Premier Pencils for the highlights. Once I was done coloring my images, I then fussy cut them out and attached all of the elements to my card base. To finish I added rhinestones, a flower, and the small purple flower sequins from the Pixie Dust Sequin mix.
